Pier de Groot Bio
Pier is an android tablet future user as he feels quite difficult to get the right one.
Pier is a Supervisor Cockpit Flight Support for KLM and he lives in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. What a Cockpit Flight Support is? It’s a support desk for all KLM pilots reporting on and off for duty at the crew center at Schiphol Airport. Pier says it’s an honor for him to be in charge there.
Pier is in Flight Operations since almost 25 years and he met hundreds of pilots for whom he worked for. He enjoys the company of a group of US pilots, former TWA, who flown on the B747-200/300 during the 1990-1994 eras. Pier is still in contact with these Old Dogs as they call themselves. During a reunion in 2007 in Orlando, Florida, he was asked to join the group as an Old Dog. Pier was much honored as he is not a pilot!
